Batconnect anchored in the Toulouse tech ecosystem

THE BUSINESS CREATION CHALLENGE FOR BATCONNECT

Creating an innovative technological company is a real challenge!

Defining your business model, finding customers, refining your pitch, financing your R&D but also plan your commercial action. So many challenges for a creator alone in his garage…

As soon as its project was maturing, Batconnect chose to join Nubbo, the regional incubator of Occitanie, whose entire action is focused on supporting startup creators such as Jérémy Dulout, young doctor and founder of Batconnect. “Don’t stay alone” is one of the pieces of advice given by one of his entrepreneurial mentors.

A CONFINED BUT REAL INCUBATION

After a sharp selection process, Batconnect was selected… And finally, Batconnect joined Nubbo in April, all that in the middle of a lockdown! We had a series of videoconferences on subjects as diverse as market discovery, communication, access to our prospects via LinkedIn, industrial property… We got to know each other and work hand in hand through the screen.

THE END OF THE LOCKDOWN WITHIN THE CITE

In June 2020 the lockdown ended and we joined La Cité where we finally met Nubbo’s team (in the flesh this time 😉 ). La Cité is the new place initiated by the Occitanie Region which is dedicated to Collaborative and Sustainable Innovation. It brings together actors such as At home (the operator of the place), Adocc (the regional economic development agency), the Rose lab (a cutting-edge fablab that could well interest batconnect) and Nubbo. This new place, built in the former Latécoère halls, is skilfully run by At home and is already teeming with startups in a wide variety of fields and not necessarily deep tech. But after all, creators are faced with the same problems, regardless of their field of activity, right? In short, La Cité is the perfect place to grow our startup and attract the talent that will help us develop it.
Since then, Batconnect is anchored in the Toulouse tech ecosystem!

A piece of advice I was given very early on: Entrepreneurs, don’t stay alone, even if you have experience… Surround yourself with benevolent and dynamic partners!
